Product Overview

This SKU is the UK 13A single switched socket module in Series 07. It shares the series design language and mounting standard of Sloped Hairline Wiring Series 07 (G2.0 Series).

Most wall plates are perfectly flat, because a flat plate is easier to injection-mould. Series 07 breaks that habit. The visible face is drawn as a shallow slope — the outer border sits close to the wall and the rocker centreline stands slightly proud, so the plate reads as a low pyramid rather than as a flat tile. Applied to a full wall of switches, the slope catches downlighting along its upper edge and casts a faint shadow along its lower edge, giving the fitting a low-relief presence that a flat plate cannot produce. The entire sloped face is finished in a fine hairline abrasion running the horizontal axis of the plate — a directional micro-texture that softens fingerprints, glows softly under warm downlighting, and never looks glossy-plastic under a hard bulb. The abrasion is applied before the fire-retardant coating is sealed, so it holds the finish over the life of the plate and does not polish off from cleaning. Functional coverage runs the standard whole-house depth. Lighting control covers 1G, 2G and 3G rocker positions in 1-way and 2-way. Power delivery carries the 13A UK single and 13A twin switched sockets with the shuttered live-neutral gate; a 20A double-pole isolator for boiler duty; and the 45A double-pole cooker switch with neon indicator. The multi-standard 3-pin universal socket is available as single and twin, with a twin + USB variant for bedside points. A dedicated multi-outlet socket handles the widest plug mix. A telephone outlet covers the RJ-11 position, a coaxial TV socket covers the AV wall, and a dedicated satellite outlet handles the villa installs that carry a separate satellite feed. Behind the sloped plate the internals stay conventional — 250V rocker rating, captive terminal screws, standard 86 mm back-box mounting, and a true double-pole break on the 45A appliance switch so line and neutral open together. The reason to specify Series 07 is the interplay of light and surface. When the room is lit by directional downlighters or wall-washers, this plate gives the wiring a low-relief architectural quality that a flat plate simply cannot achieve — and it does so without any moving-part complexity that could fail in five years.
