Sockets are very common in our life, and the quality of sockets directly affects our power consumption. Now every family will install several wall sockets when decorating so that it will be more convenient to use. What are the problems that should be paid attention to when installing wall sockets?
Precautions for wall socket installation
- The switch socket cannot be installed on the combustible object. If the combustible object burns, the jacket of the switch socket will be burned, which will lead to the exposure of the wire core and the entry of water vapor, which will cause a short circuit and even fire.
- The wall switch socket shall be installed with an arc suppression device, to avoid the risk of fire or explosion caused by combustible gas leakage.
- It is better to install a protective box or baffle on the wall switch socket to prevent water or oil from seeping in and causing a short circuit or electric leakage. Especially for families with children, to prevent children from reaching out and touching while playing, they may encounter the danger of electric shock.
- If there is a broken wire in the socket, it should be replaced in time. Do not replace it with bare wire, which is easy to cause a fire. The wall switch socket in the kitchen cannot be installed above the stove because the temperature here is high, which will cause the socket to overheat and be damaged.
- The working voltage and current of the bulb corresponding to the switch should consistent with the power of the socket. If they are different, the temperature will rise and fire will occur. The switch socket must be firmly installed. The screws must be tightened to ensure that the wire contact is good.
- Although the number of wall sockets is not better, it is better to reserve a few to make more convenient.
