This SKU is the rotary / lighting dimmer module in Series 05. It shares the series design language and mounting standard of Gold-Trim Wiring Series 05 (G7 Series).

Gold trim on a wall plate is one of those choices that either lifts a room or wrecks it, depending entirely on restraint. Series 05 keeps the discipline: the plate face is white, the outer perimeter is described by a single fine metallic gold line, and the rocker actuator stays plain white so the gold reads as picture-frame edge rather than as jewelry. The same range is offered in an all-white variant for the neighbouring rooms that do not want the accent, so a specifier can carry one product family through a whole apartment while still marking out the formal spaces with the trim treatment. The functional coverage is unusually deep for a decorative-finish range, which is the second reason to specify it. Alongside the standard lighting rockers (1G / 2G / 3G / 4G) and the 13A UK single and twin sockets, Series 05 picks up modules that plainer wiring families typically leave out: a rotary light dimmer for warm lounge scenes; a fan-speed regulator for the ceiling fan; a voice-activated switch for hallway and stair positions where a physical rocker is inconvenient; a doorbell push for the entrance; a 20A double-pole isolator for boiler duty; the 45A double-pole cooker switch; a coaxial TV socket for the living wall; and the multi-standard 3-pin universal socket in single, twin and twin + USB variants for bedside and worktop. The gold trim itself is deposited rather than painted — meaning the line stays sharp under a soft cloth wipe and does not silver off at the corners the way inked or hot-stamped trim eventually does. The trim width is calibrated to read at conversation distance without shouting at close range, so the plate works both as a room-scale accent and as a hand-scale detail. Behind the plate the internals stay conventional — 250V rocker rating, shuttered live-neutral gate on the 13A outlet, captive terminals, 86 mm mounting standard, and a true double-pole break on the 45A appliance switch. The reason to specify Series 05 is finish coordination without visual bombast. When the room has a warm-brass tap, a gold picture rail or a warm-metallic light fitting, the switch plate can join that palette without becoming the loudest object on the wall.
