This SKU is the doorbell push module in Series 06. It shares the series design language and mounting standard of Wide-Plate Silver-Bar Wiring Series 06 (G2.5 Series).
The standard 86 mm plate was sized for the back-box, not for the room. Series 06 upsizes the visible plate so the switch or socket carries a proper presence on the wall — the module cutout stays on the standard 86 mm cutout so it drops into any UK back-box, but the outer plate extends beyond that footprint and is scored horizontally by a single silver bar running the full width. The bar acts as the visual centre-line of the plate, so a wall of these devices reads as a horizontal typographic gesture rather than as a scatter of small white rectangles.
The functional line-up is drawn to full-house depth. Lighting control covers 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G rocker positions in 1-way and 2-way, and the 13A UK single switched socket carries both a plain and a USB-A variant on the same enlarged plate. High-load positions are covered by a 15A round-pin outlet, a 20A double-pole isolator for boiler duty, and the 45A double-pole cooker switch. Data positions include a coaxial TV socket and a telephone RJ-11 outlet. The multi-standard 3-pin universal socket is offered as single, twin and twin + USB versions for bedside, guest room and worktop points.
One SKU worth calling out separately: Series 06 carries a dedicated doorbell push module on the same plate — a spring-return actuator on the enlarged bar plate — so the entrance push button reads as part of the same wiring family as the rest of the house, rather than being sourced from a separate hardware line and clashing with the wall.
The horizontal silver bar is a metal insert bonded across the plate face, not a printed graphic, so it holds a clean specular reflection under downlighting and does not silver off after cleaning. Behind the plate the mechanism stays conventional — 250V rocker rating, shuttered live-neutral gate on the 13A outlet, captive terminals, standard 86 mm cutout for back-box compatibility.
The reason to specify Series 06 is presence. When the wall is a feature — a plastered feature wall, a wide TV wall, a hotel corridor — the switch plate should not disappear into it. This range makes the fitting into a design element in its own right.
